Job summary

Parker Aerospace is seeking an experienced NDT Technician III for the 2nd shift (2pm–10pm) to perform non-destructive testing on aircraft sheet metal components, ensuring quality and structural integrity. Qualifications

• Certified Level 2 in FPI, Radiographic and Digital X-Ray Inspection.
• Read and understand manufacturing planning, blueprints and sketches; GD&T basics.
• Knowledge of Parker manufacturing and NDT processes to anticipate problems.
• Ability to interface with Quality Engineering, Design Engineering, and Manufacturing staff.
• General knowledge of welding and forming processes.
• Conduct on-the-job and classroom training; maintain certifications.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and follow written instructions, sketches, schedules, drawings and documents.
• Process complex parts and interpret findings per Parker and customer specs.
• Check dimensions with calipers, micrometers, and document findings.
• Follow technique sheets and ensure revisions meet requirements.
• Create, evaluate and approve technique sheets for NDT processes.
• Audit and verify performance of personnel performing NDT functions.
• Collaborate with other Level 3s within GTFSD and Parker Aerospace.
• Oversee day-to-day NDT operations and may supervise others.
