Job summary

ECS Limited in Houston seeks a Specialty Technician I to perform field-based destructive and non-destructive testing, inspections, and observations for specialty construction materials testing projects. You will work under supervision, developing competency in testing methods while delivering reliable field reports.

Responsibilities include documenting findings, communicating with project teams, and supporting fabrication facility inspections when required.

Qualifications

2 years of related experience.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Proficiency with electronic devices and field reporting systems.
Basic math and data documentation skills.
Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and instructions.
Must have a valid driver? license if driving for ECS subsidiary.

Responsibilities

Performs destructive and non-destructive testing on construction materials.
Inspects structural steel, reinforcing steel, and connections (welded and bolted).
Performs field observations and collects samples for testing.
Documents findings in accordance with engineering and inspection standards.
Communicates daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers.
