Job summary

Acuren is seeking State Carded RT Assistants to support NDT operations in Corpus Christi, Texas. Responsibilities include setting up NDT equipment, calibrating instruments, and assisting radiographers to perform tests and record results.

Local candidates are preferred due to on-site requirements. Candidates should have a high school diploma (some college preferred) with a technical background; 40-hour radiation safety training and relevant state cards (IRRSP, Industrial Radiographer) are

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Some college coursework is preferred.
• Technical background is desirable for NDT activities.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Trustworthy & Reliable status per regulations; background check required.
• Based in or near Corpus Christi, TX for on-site work.
• Requires 40 Hour Radiation Safety Training.
• Industrial Radiographer State Card (trainee status a plus).
• IRRSP card and TWIC card or ability to obtain them.

Responsibilities

• Set up and use Nondestructive Test equipment.
• Assist Radiographers with NDT equipment calibration.
• Assist in tests to detect discontinuities using NDT methods.
• Record inspection results accurately.
• Carry equipment and perform related tasks as assigned.
