Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in North Kingstown, RI, seeks an organized NQC/QA Training Instructor to support quality assurance and nuclear NDT training. The role delivers sessions for VT, MT, PT, UT, ET, RT, and maintains Level II qualifications, collaborating with NDT engineers.

You will prepare curricula, assess student performance, enforce safety rules, and travel to EB facilities and Focus Factories as needed. 2nd shift hours apply, with occasional first shift flexibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years as an NQC/QA Inspector or 6+ years instructing adults in a technical field; naval nuclear experience preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain Level II qualifications for each NDT method within 1 year; progress required in 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Instruct NDT sessions (VT, MT, PT, UT, ET, RT).
• Maintain Level II qualifications for taught methods.
• Prepare instruction by reviewing curricula and materials.
• Develop curriculum with SME input and coordinate with NDT engineers.
• Enforce safety rules during training and audits.
• Assess student performance and address non-conformances.
