Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking an experienced NDT professional at our Philadelphia, PA site to oversee nondestructive testing at supplier and distributed facilities. You will lead on-site evaluations, audits, and witness re-inspections across MT, PT, VT, UT methods, and advance NDT programs.

Role requires advancing to Level III certifications within one year and ~30% travel. Collaboration across Engineering, Quality, Operations and NAVSEA will be essential to ensure quality and

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or GED with NDT certification(s) or related experience.
• Certified Level II in MT, PT and VT per ASNT SNT-TC-1A/NAS-410/EN-4179/NST R-99 with at least 5 years of hands-on NDT experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct reviews to ensure adherence to fabrication, welding and NAVSEA NDT specs.
• Maintain and enhance company standards, procedures and field-level processes.
• Provide expert technical guidance for manufacturing support and problem resolution.
• Collaborate with EB Strategic Sourcing, Engineering, Quality, Operations, Purchasing, Program Offices and NAVSEA.
• Prepare detailed technical reports based on oversight activities and investigations.
