Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT seeks an NDT Engineering Examiner to oversee nondestructive testing across naval construction programs. You will maintain NDT procedures, monitor Level I/II training, and certify personnel in VT, MT, PT, and related methods.

This role reports to the Groton NDTE Supervisor and supports both Nuclear and Non-nuclear applications. The position requires collaboration with QA, Design, Engineering, and NAVSEA representatives, plus travel less than 5% to

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Certified Level II in two VT/PT/MT methods or Level II in VT/PT/MT and one UT/RT/ET method.
• Level III certification in one NDT method.
• Must certify to Level III Examiner status within one year.

Responsibilities

• Maintain existing NDT procedures for specific applications.
• Monitor NDT training programs and Level I/II performance.
• Administer examinations to certify or recertify Level I/II personnel.
• Provide technical guidance for Nuclear and Non-nuclear applications.
• Collaborate with QA, Design, Engineering, and NAVSEA representatives.
• Prepare technical reports and participate in process improvements.
