Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a seasoned NDT ASNT Level III to serve as the site technical authority for assigned nondestructive testing methods. This hands-on role oversees method governance, qualification and certification, problem solving, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent directly relevant NDT experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Minimum 7 years of experience training, examining, qualifying, and certifying NDT personnel and maintaining audit-ready records.
• Significant NDT experience in manufacturing or another high-integrity industrial environment, including administration of an employer-based qualification and certification program.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the responsible Level III for assigned NDT methods, prioritizing RT, VT, PT, and UTT.
• Develop, review, approve, and maintain NDT procedures, techniques, work instructions, examinations, and qualification materials.
• Interpret indications, support acceptance decisions, and resolve complex inspection issues per specifications and customer requirements.
• Administer the site NDT personnel certification program including examinations, experience verification, and record maintenance.
• Mentor Level I and II personnel and strengthen site capability through training and knowledge transfer.
• Support audits, equipment and process qualification, new product introduction, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Partner with Quality, Engineering, Metallurgy, Operations, and EHS to reduce inspection variation and nonconformance costs.
• Support new NDT technology, automation, digital inspection, and harmonization of practices across Siemens Energy.
