Applied Technical Services, LLC is seeking Level II VT/MT Technicians for Newport News Shipyard (NNS). You will work at NNS and be attached to ATS Chesapeake, VA office. Pay range: $38/hr to $46/hr with overtime eligibility and per diem after certification and HII TPE.

Per diem requires being >50 miles from residence and 40+ hours/week to qualify. Responsibilities include VT/MT examinations, operating NDT equipment, and reporting results.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Ability to learn and comply with company policies and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Drug screen and clean driving record required.
• NAVSEA and/or shipyard experience is a plus.
• May require background check and ITAR-related access.

Aufgaben

• Perform VT and MT examinations of materials per procedures and standards.
• Set up and utilize NDT testing equipment.
• Operate handheld grinder to remove discontinuities.
• Prepare written instructions and organize/report examination results.
• Work independently and support team members.
• Interface with managers and clients to determine scope and priorities.
• Participate in ATS and client safety programs.
