Applied Technical Services, LLC (ATS) seeks a Level II VT/MT Technician for Newport News Shipyard. You will perform VT/MT examinations per codes and standards and work with NDT equipment in a shipyard environment. OT eligibility, per diem after certification, and readiness for security/background checks are required.

Minimum HS/GED, NAVSEA/shipyard experience helpful, and valid driver’s license are essential. You will join ATS Chesapeake, VA operations serving defense and manufacturing clients.

Qualifikationen

• Level II VT/MT Technician qualifications with documentation of education, training, and experience.
• Working knowledge of industrial environments and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to communicate issues and solutions across departments and customers.

Aufgaben

• Perform VT and MT examinations of materials per procedures, codes, standards, and specifications.
• Set up and utilize NDT testing equipment.
• Operate handheld grinder to remove detected discontinuities.
• Supervise trainees and provide on‑the‑job training as needed.
• Interface with managers and clients to determine scope and priorities.
• Prepare written instructions and report examination results.
• Work independently and support team members.
• Participate in ATS and Client Safety Programs.
