Job summary

PROtect LLC in Kansas is seeking an experienced NDT Inspector to perform non-destructive testing on structures and pipelines using x-ray, ultrasound, and related equipment. The role requires expertise in phased array, shear wave, gamma radiography, and other NDT methods, with a strong emphasis on safety and documentation.

You will identify defects, load and calibrate equipment, and ensure compliance with codes and procedures.

Qualifications

• Safety regulations must be followed on all sites.
• Able to work demanding and flexible schedules incl. long hours.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in varied conditions.
• Strong customer service and punctuality for assignments.
• Able to work as part of a team and instruct others.
• Expertise in multiple NDT methods (phased array, shear wave, radiography, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, ultrasonic).
• Mechanical aptitude for operating and calibrating equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct NDT testing of components and materials following codes and procedures.
• Utilize methods such as phased array, shear wave, gamma radiography, x-ray, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, ultrasonic, leak testing, and visual inspections.
• Select, prepare, load, calibrate, or operate NDT equipment.
• Identify defects using appropriate testing techniques.
• Complete documentation and work orders per protocols and timelines.
• Drive company vehicles and maintain safe driving record.
• Provide instruction to assigned assistants and ensure team safety.
