Job summary

Xcel NDT, LLC in Odessa, TX is seeking an NDT Level II Technician to perform calibrations, nondestructive testing, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations per written instructions and record results.

You will set up and calibrate equipment, interpret results to relevant codes and standards, organize test results, and supervise assistants as needed, while maintaining strict safety and quality on site. A High School Diploma or equivalent and state NDT certification are required.

Qualifications

• NDT Level II RT with OJT and state card.
• NDT Level II MT, PT, UTT required.
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures.
• Ability to interpret results and meet safety/quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities using NDT methods.
• Establish techniques for proper examination per standards and evaluate results.
• Interpret radiographs, CRT or digital readouts, conductivities and indicators.
• Organize and report test results.
• Perform specialized inspections.
• May instruct and supervise others.
