Job summary

Kleinfelder's Construction Services team seeks an ASNT SNT-TC-1A NDT Level II Technician to support QA/V inspection and testing of materials for major transportation infrastructure projects.

You will perform nondestructive testing of structural steel weldments and materials at fabrication shops, manufacturing facilities, and field sites under supervision of the NDT Level III and Task Order Manager.

Qualifications

• Current ASNT SNT-TC-1A NDT Level II certification in UT/RT/MT/PT (two or more).
• Minimum 1 year of NDT experience.
• Ability to provide copies of current ASNT TC-1A Level II certifications for client review.
• Knowledge of AWS D1.5 and D1.1 structural welding codes.
• Ability to read structural plans, shop drawings, and welding procedure specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication for inspection reports and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide ASNT SNT-TC-1A Level II NDT services in UT/RT/PT/MT as assigned.
• Set up, calibrate, perform tests, and document results per procedures.
• Perform NDT of structural steel weldments per AWS and contract specs.
• Conduct PAUT as assigned and in accordance with AWS D1.5 Annex K4.2.
• Perform shop, plant, and field inspections and sample/test materials.
• Travel to job sites and fabrication shops to verify QA measures.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain calibration records per AWS requirements.
• Maintain field safety and PPE compliance; complete required training.
• Assist NDT Level III with training and documentation per company practice.
