Job summary

Insight Global in Grand Prairie, TX seeks a Non-Destructive Testing technician specialized in Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection to support aerospace manufacturing quality control.

You will perform FPI, review metallurgical dispositions, sign off on products, and maintain the inspection area. Certification or a 2-year NDT degree is required, with potential overtime and multiple shift options.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree in a Non-Destructive Testing program or Level II FPI certification.
• In absence of degree, at least 4 years of Non-Destructive inspection experience.
• Willing to obtain NDT Certification within designated timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Fluorescent Penetrant inspection functions in a manufacturing environment
• Perform quality review metallurgical dispositions following procedures as required
• Complete classroom theory, OFT and certification examination
• Understand internal and external customer requirements with a high attention to detail in resolving findings
• Responsible for signing-off product inspected
• Re-certification required at interval
• Perform daily walk around of equipment, maintain cleanliness of inspection area and be capable of troubleshooting equipment issues
• Must be able to obtain NDT Certification within designated timeframe
• Must be willing to work any shift, including an alternate work week. Overtime may be required
