Job summary

Valmont Group is seeking an NDT Inspector - Associate to evaluate fabrication assemblies, perform ultrasonic, mag particle, and liquid penetrant tests, and generate NDT reports under supervision. You will ensure products meet contract specs and coordinate with the Quality and Production teams in a manufacturing environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma with 5+ years in steel fabrication (or equivalent), the ability to operate NDT equipment, and proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or higher with 5+ years in steel fabrication or an Associates Degree with 2+ years experience or a Bachelor's Degree.
• 2 years' experience in fabricated steel environment.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including fractions to decimals.
• Ability to use basic measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, fillet weld gauges, levels).
• Level I NDT certifications or ability to obtain Level I within 90 days.
• Ability to operate NDT testing equipment.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Test and evaluate products for conformance to company and customer specs with integrity.
• Make decisions in accordance with codes and specifications under supervision.
• Interpret NDT reports and evaluate quality acceptance.
• Have authority to reject material or stop work to minimize risk.
• Maintain workflow with production and report issues to supervisor.
• Generate and maintain NDT reports and records.
