Valmont Industries in El Dorado, KS, is hiring a NDT Inspector - Associate to evaluate fabricated materials through dimensional checks, visual weld inspection, and nondestructive testing (ultrasonic, mag particle, liquid penetrant). The role reports to the Quality Supervisor and supports production goals.

Starting wage is $27.93/hr with shift hours Fri-Sun, 36 hours paid as 40, and training hours Mon-Thu. Requires Level I NDT or readiness to obtain in 90 days and strong QA skills in a

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent plus 5+ years of work/educational experience, or an Associate's Degree with 2+ years of experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with 2 years in a fabricated steel environment.
• Ability to perform basic mathematic calculations, including conversion of fractions to decimals.
• Ability to use basic measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, fillet weld gauges, levels) to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Level I NDT certifications or ability to obtain Level I certification within 90 days.
• Ability to operate NDT testing equipment.
• Ability to work effectively with plant employees, supervisors, management and customers.
• Ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for testing and evaluation of products to ensure conformance to company and customer specifications.
• Make decisions in the area of codes (AWS D1.1) under the guidance of a NDT Inspector - Intermediate.
• Interpret NDT reports and evaluate quality acceptance under guidance of a fully certified NDT Inspector - Intermediate.
• Reject material or stop work to minimize financial loss and risk of customer dissatisfaction.
