Job summary

BENTELER Steel/Tube in Shreveport, LA is seeking a Maintenance professional to coordinate equipment upkeep for non-destructive testing. You will assist in PM development, ensure safety, and support Lean initiatives.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in general industrial maintenance, SAP experience, and strong mechanical skills with NDT equipment. This role emphasizes proactive maintenance planning and safety leadership.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification required.
• AA/AS or the equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Technical degree preferred but not required.
• At least 1-3 years experience in general industrial maintenance.
• SAP Maintenance module experience.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of NDT equipment.
• Intermediate computer skills: Microsoft Excel.
• Seamless Pipe Mill experience greatly desired.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems experience.
• Strong Safety Awareness and experience.
• LOTO experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance of equipment specific to non-destructive testing (NDT).
• Assist in development of work procedures, PM's and LOTO.
• Participate in plant 5S and Lean manufacturing programs and continuous improvement activities.
• Practice "Root Cause Analysis" to determine solutions to process issues.
• Be an active safety advocate.
• Follow all company rules and policies.
• Coordinate effective repairs and maintenance on equipment utilizing SAP.
• Develop and implement Preventive Maintenance program for area of responsibility.
• Assign daily maintenance activities.
• Provide hands on assistance to maintenance personnel, contractors, and Mechanical Specialists.
• Provide necessary training and support to maintenance personnel.
• Plan and coordinate weekly and yearly outages.
