BENTELER Group in Shreveport, LA, is seeking a Professional Maintenance Electrical Engineer to join the BENTELER Steel/Tube division. You will develop, implement and oversee electrical PMs, 5S/Lean initiatives, and safety programs, coordinating with TL Electrical and Planners to optimize plant performance.

The role requires a BA/BS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field and 5+ years of industrial electrical experience; CAD, SAP, Excel and project software skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in Industrial Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to manage all aspects of the electrical department.
• CAD, SAP, Excel, and Project software experience.
• Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and implementation of work procedures, PMs and LOTO.
• Participate in plant 5S and Lean manufacturing programs and continuous improvement activities.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis meetings to determine and rectify issues in the process.
• Assist and manage setting up down days, outages, and special projects.
• Monitor all related costs associated with the Electrical Maintenance Team.
• Oversee all electrical projects.
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance on Finishing Mill equipment utilizing SAP.
• Assist in development of the Preventative Maintenance program.
• Become part of our World Class Maintenance Organization.
• Perform hands-on work to assist maintenance staff as required.
• Assist in programs to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
