Job summary

Apave America Inc. is seeking a full-time RT Assistant Technician in the Canton, OH area to assist RT Technicians with non‑destructive testing and training to become a Certified Technician.

You will help set up testing equipment, prepare areas, perform basic inspections under supervision, collect data, and maintain documentation while following safety protocols. Training will cover UT, RT, MT, and PT methods.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Driver’s License and pre‑access drug and alcohol testing required.
• Pre-employment background checks will be required.
• 40hr Radiation Safety Training required.
• Radiographer state card will be considered an asset.
• NDT training and experience will be considered an asset.
• Technical experience preferred.
• Current SPRAT Rope Access certification will be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate NDT equipment under supervision of a Certified Technician.
• Prepare test areas by cleaning and marking facilities for inspection.
• Assist or perform basic NDT inspections under supervision.
• Collect and record test data and observations.
• Assist in interpreting initial test results and flag areas for further evaluation.
• Maintain documentation and prepare reports of inspection results.
• Adhere to safety protocols during NDT procedures.
• Participate in training to learn different NDT methods.
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.
