The RT Assistant Technician helps with radiographic image collection under radiation safety regulations, maintaining documentation, and adhering to safety protocols in various industrial settings.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of NDT principles and inspection techniques.
• Ability to accurately identify and document small defects.
• Clear communication with lead technician regarding findings and issues.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate NDT equipment under supervision.
• Prepare test areas by cleaning and marking.
• Assist or perform basic NDT inspections under supervision.
• Collect and record test data and observations.
• Support radiation safety procedures where applicable for RT tests.
• Maintain thorough documentation of procedures and findings.
