Job summary

Acuren is seeking NDT and RT Assistants to support our Midland, TX operations. Assist in calibrations, nondestructive tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection according to written instructions and record results.

Responsibilities include setting up NDT equipment, assisting Radiographers, performing tests to detect discontinuities, recording results, and supporting other NDT procedures as needed. A background check is required, and local candidates are preferred for on-site work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required or accepted.
• Some college coursework preferred as it supports training.
• 40 Hour Radiation Safety Training (40RAD) is preferred for this role.

NDT Assistants will assist in performing calibrations, Nondestructive Tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results

• Assist Radiographers in the calibration of NDT equipment
• Assist Radiographers to conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Record results of inspections
• Assist performing NDT procedures, carrying equipment and other operations
• Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Some college preferred
• Technical background desired
• Must be able to have experience, credentials and history to be certified as Trustworthy & Reliable to comply with federal and state regulations, as determined by a thorough background check
• Motor Vehicle Driving record must meet company standards to drive company vehicles
• 40 Hour Radiation Safety Training(40RAD) preferred
• Valid TWIC card or able to obtain

LOCATION REQUIREMENTS: We are currently seeking candidates who are based in or near Midland, TX. While all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply, preference will be given to local candidates due to the on-site requirements of the positions.
