Job summary

Vast is seeking a second shift NDE Level II Inspector in Long Beach, CA to support development of space station components. The role reports to the Supervisor, NDE and is full-time, non-exempt at our Long Beach location.

Responsibilities include performing radiographic, visual, penetrant, and eddy current inspections, interpreting images, and coordinating with Engineering and Quality teams to meet safety and aerospace standards. Strong NDE background required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or Associate degree preferred.
• Current NDE Level II certification in one or more inspection methods per ASNT/NAS410 or equivalent.
• RT Level II certification required; digital radiography experience preferred.
• IRRSP certification preferred; candidates without IRRSP must obtain within 3 months of hire.
• 3–5 years of hands-on NDE experience in aerospace/manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Perform nondestructive inspections using RT, VT, PT, ET, or other certified methods.
• Interpret radiographic images and evaluate discontinuities per specs and codes.
• Set up, calibrate, and operate radiographic equipment and DR systems.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to resolve findings.
