Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an NDE Level II Inspector to join the NDE Operations team in Hawthorne. You will perform surface or volumetric inspections and report findings to production and engineering, referencing engineering drawings as needed.

The role supports development of inspection techniques for complex geometries and includes training responsibilities. The position offers evolving responsibilities across Falcon, Dragon, and Starship programs with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• NDE Level II certification per ASNT TC-1A, NAS-410, or DOD guidance in ET, RT, UT-I or PAUT.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Additional NDE certifications in ET, PT, VT, PAUT, UT, UTSW, MT are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform surface or volumetric NDE inspections.
• Interpret, evaluate, communicate and report findings to production and engineering.
• Interpret and review engineering drawings as required.
• Optimize and manipulate digital images for maximum clarity and accuracy.
• Support development of NDE inspection techniques for complex geometries.
• Assist in training and developing others within the team.
• Support R&D of system qualification and certification for critical processes.
