Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking an NDT Inspector to support manufacturing operations in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The role focuses on conducting NDE inspections and ensuring product conformity to drawings, codes, and specifications.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of NDE/NDT experience, High School Diploma, and Level II certifications in Liquid Penetrant or Leak Testing. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Top Secret or DOE Q clearance where required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of NDE/NDT inspection experience.
• Level II Certifications in Liquid Penetrant or Leak Testing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed inspections using NDE methods such as leak testing and liquid penetrant testing.
• Interpret results and apply acceptance criteria from drawings and work orders.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and codes to validate product conformity and maintain accurate records for fabrication, inspection, and final reporting.
• Strong understanding of weld codes and standards.
• Manage nonconformance documentation, support internal process audits, and communicate inspection results with engineers and managers.
