Job summary

Beyond New Horizons, LLC is seeking an NDE Lab Lead to oversee nondestructive evaluation activities at Arnold AFB, TN. You will guide lab operations, ensure safety compliance, and perform advanced NDT on piping, vessels, and rocket hardware using multiple inspection methods.

The role requires extensive NDE experience, ASNT Level II/III qualifications in MT/PT/UT/RT/VT, and DoD security clearance eligibility. Strong leadership and technical acumen are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma plus an Associate’s degree, 60 college hours, or completion of a two-year technical program.
• 10 years of experience in NDE testing.
• Must possess or meet the training and experience requirements to obtain Level II or Level III certification in MT, PT, UT, RT, and VT.
• American Welding Society (AWS) CWI Certification
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Guides daily operations within the lab, assigning tasks based on priorities and supporting team members.
• Ensures compliance with company policies and safety standards.
• Performs and assists in nondestructive testing on piping, pressure vessels, rotating equipment, test hardware, and rocket motors.
• Uses various NDT methods and interprets results to document findings in reports.
• Witnesses hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing and conducts ISI of PHMS certified systems.
