Idaho National Laboratory seeks an experienced Nondestructive Examination professional to support inspection activities at the Advanced Test Reactor. The role emphasizes Radiographic Testing (RT) and Ultrasonic Testing (UT), including PAUT, with emphasis on planning, documentation, and compliance with procedures, codes, and quality requirements.

You will collaborate with Quality Engineering and other departments to ensure safe, efficient execution of examinations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 6 years of related experience (Level 4) or 6+ years (Level 5).
• Current or previous Level II qualification/certification in RT and/or UT, with ability to obtain INL certification.
• Ability to interpret NDE procedures, drawings, specifications, acceptance criteria, and applicable codes and standards.
• Ability to perform field work in nuclear facility environments, including outage support, irregular schedules, overtime, and radiological work as required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain INL Basic Inspector and other job-specific qualifications.
• DOE L clearance requirement with US Citizenship.

Responsabilités

• Perform RT and/or UT examinations per approved procedures, codes, standards, and acceptance criteria.
• Set up, calibrate, acquire data, evaluate, and document within Level II scope.
• Support conventional and PAUT activities as qualified.
• Provide field inspection support for ATR operations and outages.
• Review drawings and inspection requirements prior to field execution.
• Participate in pre-job walkdowns and planning to identify access and equipment needs.
• Interface with Quality Engineering and other teams to ensure safe, efficient execution.
• Document results, observations, and technical information accurately.
• Maintain NDE certifications, qualifications, training, and proficiency.
