Job summary

ACUREN in North Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a full-time NDT Assistant who can travel up to 80% to support our operations. You will set up and operate NDT equipment, assist radiographers during calibrations and tests, perform inspections to detect discontinuities, and accurately record results in accordance with written instructions and quality records.

This role requires a proactive team player with a high school diploma, some college, and NDT classroom training or certifications.

Qualifications

• NDT classroom training or certifications required.
• 40-hour Radiation Safety Training preferred.
• Background check and driving record must be satisfactory.

Responsibilities

• Set up and utilize Nondestructive Test equipment
• Assist Radiographers in the calibration of NDT equipment
• Assist Radiographers to conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Record results of inspections
• Assist performing NDT procedures, carrying equipment and other operations
• Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management
