Job summary

ACUREN is currently recruiting an NDT Level II MT/PT/UT Technician to support our operations in Salt Lake City, UT.

Local candidates or those willing to relocate are preferred due to the nature of the role. Responsibilities include setting up testing equipment, performing NDT inspections, and compiling detailed reports in accordance with applicable standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Some college coursework preferred.
• Certified Level II in MT/PT/UT.
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret inspection results and write reports.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities using NDT methods.
• Establish techniques for proper examination while following safety regulations.
• Apply testing criteria per specifications or standards and evaluate results.
• Interpret radiographs, CRT or digital readouts, conductivity meters and indicators.
• Organize and report test results.
• Perform specialized inspections.
• Instruct and supervise others when needed.
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.

• May instruct and supervise others
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
• Knowledge of NDT equipment
