The role emphasizes setup, calibration, testing, and reporting, with local candidates or those willing to relocate given the on-site nature of the work. Qualified applicants will hold a High School Diploma or equivalent, with Some college preferred and a Certified Level II status.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college preferred.
• Certified Level II in NDT encouraged.
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures.
• Ability to perform NDT tasks and interpret results.
• Knowledge of NDT equipment and inspection reporting.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
• Conduct tests to detect discontinuities using NDT methods.
• Establish techniques for examinations while following safety regulations.
• Apply testing criteria per specifications and evaluate results.
• Interpret radiographs, CRT/digital readouts, conductivity meters, and indicators.
• Organize and report test results.
• Perform specialized inspections and potentially supervise others.
• Take on additional tasks as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
• Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators
• Organize and report test results
• Perform specialized inspections
• May instruct and supervise others
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
