Job summary

Acuren is seeking an NDT Assistant to support our North Salt Lake, UT operation. This role requires travel up to 80% and includes assisting in calibrations, nondestructive tests, and evaluations per written instructions with record-keeping of results.

The position involves setting up NDT equipment, aiding radiographers in calibration and testing to identify discontinuities, and performing related tasks as directed by management in an on-site environment.

Qualifications

• NDT classroom training/certifications required or preferred.
• 40 hour Radiation Safety Training preferred.
• IRRPS card preferred.
• TWIC card preferred.
• State Carded preferred.
• Industrial radiography state card preferred if applicable.

Position Summary

Acuren is currently recruiting for NDT Assistants with classroom hours & proof of experience to support our operation in North Salt Lake, UT. Must be able to travel 80% of the time.

NDT Assistants will assist in performing calibrations, Nondestructive Tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results.

Responsibilities

• Set up and utilize Nondestructive Test equipment
• Assist Radiographers in the calibration of NDT equipment
• Assist Radiographers to conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Record results of inspections
• Assist performing NDT procedures, carrying equipment and other operations
• Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Some college preferred
• Technical background desired
• NDT Classroom training/certifications
• 40 Hour Radiation Safety Training preferred
• IRRPS card preferred
• TWIC card
• State Carded preferred. Industrial Radographer Sate Card preferred (trainer status a plus)
• Must be able to have experience, credentials and history to be certified as Trustworthy & Reliable to comply with federal and state regulations, as determined by a thorough background check
• Motor Vehicle Driving record must meet company standards to drive company vehicles
• Able to travel up to 80% of the time
