Job summary

Acuren is seeking NDT Assistants to support operations in Akron, OH and surrounding areas. This is a travel-focused position requiring up to 90% travel across the region, including pipelines and fab shops.

You will assist in performing calibrations, nondestructive tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection, following written instructions and recording results. Will work with Radiographers and routine NDT procedures in demanding environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college preferred.
• Technical background desired.
• Must pass background check per client requirements.
• MVR must meet company driving standards.
• Must pass drug/alcohol and background screening.

Responsibilities

• Set up and utilize Nondestructive Test equipment.
• Assist Radiographers in calibrating NDT equipment.
• Assist Radiographers to conduct tests to detect defects using NDT methods.
• Record results of inspections.
• Assist performing NDT procedures and carrying equipment.
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.
