Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and four years full-time NCIC operating/administrative support experience.
• Must obtain Full Access Operator Certification and Terminal Agency Coordinator (TAC) Certification within 6 months of hire; recertification every two years.
• Must pass a thorough background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Manages the National Crime Information Center to ensure integrity of crime information in compliance with Federal and State regulations.
• Enters, supplements, modified, clears and cancels records in NCIC.
• Develops and maintains a record keeping system for validations; updates status of each record online and offline.
• Responsible for confirming/locating wanted persons, stolen vehicles, and extradition considerations; contacts complainants.
• Develops and delivers training; certification and recertification of terminal operators; maintains operator files.
