Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field required.
• 12 semester hours covering biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology and statistics or population genetics.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the CODIS (Combined DNA Index System) database operations within the DNA unit.
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and CODIS operational requirements.
• Manage CODIS security and user access.
• Troubleshoot CODIS system issues and provide training as needed.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Forensic Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a closely related scientific field

Twelve (12) semester hours of college coursework including biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology and statistics or population genetics

Master's Degree may substitute for 1 year of experience; Ph.D. may substitute for 2 years
