Job summary

NASBA in Nashville, TN seeks a National Candidate Database Coordinator to manage the National Candidate Database for the CPA CBT process and provide outstanding service to accountancy boards and candidates.

Responsibilities include data accuracy, training on the NCD system, reporting, and collaboration with internal teams; the role requires occasional travel and a hybrid schedule with two days in the Nashville office.

Qualifications

  • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with the accountancy boards and staff
  • Review and resolve all candidate data validation processing errors
  • Participate and conduct training over the NCD Database system and CBT process
  • Provide technical support for the accountancy boards over the NCD processes
  • Generate reports related to the NCD data
  • Review Center Problem Reports (CPR)
  • Assist accountancy boards and candidates with examination administration issues
  • Assist accountancy boards and candidates with NCD payment issues
  • Manage the NABSA Candidate Accounts
  • Ability to travel and proctor the CPA examination
  • Process and send out Notices to Schedules and Payment Coupons to candidates
  • Process scores and release score notices to the accountancy boards and candidates
  • Receive and process exceptions to policies and receipts requests in accordance with NCD policies
  • Maintain candidate records by documenting updates to names/emails/addresses
  • Adhere to all NCD documented policies and procedures
  • Attend meetings and participate in the NCD department
  • Respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours
  • Monitor phone lines and perform Customer Service duties as needed
  • Protect customers’ PII confidentiality
  • Work well under pressure and meet timelines
  • Display basic problem solving and analytical skills
  • Maintain superior levels of customer service
  • Some weekends work may be required
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Job Name: National Candidate Database Coordinator

Job Reports To: Manager, National Candidate Database

Department: Client Services

FLSA Status: Salaried Non-Exempt

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. /37.5 hours weekly

Remote work flexibility: however, this is not a full-time remote position, and you must work in the Nashville office two days per week or as needed.

Responsibilities

The NCD Coordinator supports the core functions of the Client Services Department and is expected to follow established departmental procedures while performing position-specific duties. Key responsibilities include managing and maintaining data in the National Candidate Database for the Uniform CPA Examination; providing exceptional service to clients and customers; and assisting state boards of accountancy and candidates throughout the Computer-Based Testing (CBT) process.

Position Requirements
  • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with the accountancy boards and staff

  • Adhere to all NCD documented policies and procedures
  • Attend meetings and actively participate as a member of the NCD department
  • Respond to accountancy board and candidate inquiries via email and telephone within 24-48 hour time frame
  • Monitor the phone lines and perform Customer Service duties as needed
  • Protect organization's values by keeping customers’ personally identifiable information (PII) confidential
  • Work well under pressure and consistently meet established work timelines
  • Display basic problem solving and analytical skills
  • Maintain superior levels of customer service
  • May be required to work some weekends as business needs dictate
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
