Job summary

Overland Sand & Gravel, a NEBCO Company, is seeking a high performing equipment operator to join our team. The role involves operating rubber tire loader, dozer, skid loader, excavator or haul truck to transport bulk materials and monitor plant systems.

Maintain shop and equipment, and assist with maintenance tasks as needed. Candidate must have 6 months of heavy equipment experience or an equivalent combination of education and training, plus a valid driver’s license and ability to become

Qualifications

• 6 months previous heavy equipment moving experience; or equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience.
• Valid Driver’s License and be insurable under the company’s insurance program.
• Must be capable of becoming certified on heavy equipment.
• Mechanical and physical aptitude to support operation.
• Willingness to perform other duties during non busy times; able to work with hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the shop and equipment according to safety standards.
• Cleans shop, office, restroom, scale rooms and equipment regularly.
• Checks brakes, tires, oil, and performs maintenance as required.
• Operates equipment to work around the plant as needed.
• Starts engine, shifts gears, and maneuvers vehicles.
