Job summary

Overland Contracting Inc. is seeking an experienced Operator Equipment for full-time work on our construction sites. You will operate power construction equipment (RT backhoe, Loader, Trencher, etc.) to excavate, move and grade material in accordance with project specs.

The role requires NCCER certifications preferred, a valid CDL if on public roads, and strict adherence to safety programs. You will perform routine maintenance, document logs, and coordinate with the crew to ensure on-time

Qualifications

• Multiple years of working experience as an equipment operator or equivalent.
• Medical Examiner's Certificate on file before operation begins.
• CDL is required when operating on public roads.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Pre-employment checks may include background, drug screen and MVR.

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of power construction equipment per project specs.
• Perform light maintenance and document logs on equipment.
• Conduct daily inspections and report results in logs.
• Coordinate machine actions with crew signals and load movements.
• Follow safety procedures and use stop-work authority when needed.
