Job summary

Primoris Heavy Civil in Holden, Louisiana seeks an experienced Pile Driving Crane Operator to safely operate lattice boom and hydraulic cranes and drive piles per project specs.

You will perform pre/post-operation checks, read load charts and blueprints, and coordinate with ground crew. The role requires NCCCO certification, 3–5 years of crane experience, and strict OSHA safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid NCCCO certification for pile driving cranes.
• 3–5 years of verifiable pile driving crane operation experience.
• Ability to read load charts, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
• Strong crane operations, rigging, and signaling knowledge.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and best practices for crane operation.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate clearly.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate pile driving cranes safely and efficiently per project plans and specs.
• Perform pre-operation and post-operation checks on equipment.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and load charts to ensure safe operation.
• Coordinate with ground crew, signal persons, and supervisors.
• Maintain daily logs of activities, inspections, and incidents.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic maintenance.
• Adhere to company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Participate in daily safety briefings and support a safe work environment.
• Assist with other construction duties when not operating the crane.
