Job summary
Greensboro College Wrestling seeks an Assistant Wrestling Coach to support the growth and success of NCAA Division III programs on campus in Greensboro, NC. The role involves coaching, recruiting, and academic support for student-athletes, with emphasis on skill development and competition preparation.
The ideal candidate will bring coaching interest, strong communication, and familiarity with TrackWrestling/FloWrestling tools, plus willingness to contribute to program growth and community
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Current CPR/First Aid or ability to be certified within 14 days.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct daily wrestling practices.
- Provide technical instruction and skill development.
- Prepare athletes for dual meets and tournaments.
- Assist with match-day coaching and competition management.
- Support strength and conditioning initiatives.
- Identify and recruit prospective student-athletes.
- Maintain recruiting communications with prospects and families.
- Monitor academic progress and student support.
- Coordinate team travel, equipment, rosters, and TrackWrestling entries.
- Assist with video analysis and scouting resources.
- Support fundraising and community engagement.
