Job summary

Sumaria Systems LLC seeks a Journeyman Systems Engineer to support the Air Force NC3 program at Hanscom AFB, MA. The role involves applying systems engineering principles across the lifecycle, translating operational needs into technical requirements, and coordinating across Government and contractor teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of DoD engineering experience, strong analytical skills, and excellent written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline
• Five or more years of relevant systems engineering, system integration, or related DoD engineering experience
• Experience applying SE principles in complex technical environments
• Experience with requirements development, analysis, management and traceability
• Understanding of system development and acquisition lifecycle activities
• Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Apply systems engineering principles throughout the system lifecycle
• Support engineering analysis of current and future systems within the NC3 mission architecture
• Develop, analyze, integrate, maintain, and update system and technical requirements
• Support requirements management and traceability to reflect operational needs
• Establish and evaluate program technical baselines
• Review system designs for consistency with specs, interfaces, and mission requirements
• Support integration, verification, validation, and system-level testing
• Coordinate engineering activities across multi-disciplinary teams
• Develop technical documentation, diagrams, and decision-support products
• Communicate findings and recommendations to Government and program leadership
