Job summary

Sumaria Systems seeks a Journeyman Systems Engineer to support the Air Force NC3 program at Hanscom AFB, MA. The role applies systems engineering across acquisition, integration, sustainment, and mission-worthiness activities to ensure secure, interoperable NC3 capabilities.

The ideal candidate has DoD experience, strong analytical skills, and can coordinate across Government and contractor teams, with a Top Secret clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Five (5) or more years of relevant DoD systems engineering experience.
• Experience with requirements development, analysis, management, and traceability.
• Experience evaluating system or subsystem designs, interfaces, performance, and requirements.
• Experience with system integration, verification, validation, or system-level testing.
• Understanding of baseline development and configuration management.
• Ability to evaluate technical alternatives and mitigate risks.
• Experience developing and reviewing technical documentation and briefings.
• Understanding of lifecycle activities in system development and acquisition.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply systems engineering throughout the system lifecycle.
• Support analysis of current and future systems within NC3 mission architecture.
• Develop and update system and technical requirements.
• Support requirements management and traceability.
• Establish and evaluate program technical baselines.
• Review designs for conformity with specs and mission requirements.
• Support system integration, verification, and testing.
• Identify risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct technical research supporting NC3 requirements and modernization.
• Coordinate across disciplines and with stakeholders.
• Prepare technical documentation and briefings.
