Job summary

Clark Nexsen, a JMT Company, seeks a Bridge Inspection Team Leader to conduct NBIS inspections of in-service transportation structures and to lead inspection teams. The role includes planning, scheduling, inspections, and reporting, with additional duties in general engineering design under limited supervision.

Salary range is $85,000.00-$140,000.00, reflecting experience and certifications; TN visa not available except TN-qualified cases. Office/field work split applies.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in performing in-service bridge safety inspections and Bridge, Culvert and Retaining Wall Design.
• Qualify as a Bridge Safety Inspection Team Leader as defined by 23 CFR 650, Subpart C.
• Proof of successfully completing a FHWA approved comprehensive bridge inspection safety course.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, conduct or coordinate detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope.
• Perform or check design computations.
• Design projects in accordance with client specifications and guidelines, using design software and drawing tools.
• Assist in the preparation of engineering documents for advertisement and construction.
• Prepare and compile contract plans, specifications and estimates.
• Attend meetings with clients and assist taking meeting minutes.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and understand how they fit into the project and design.
• Quality review of project design in accordance with the Project Management Plan.
• Technical oversight and guidance/support of Design Engineers within department
