Job summary

DC Army National Guard seeks a Chemical Operations Specialist to join its NBC defense team. You will train in CBRN equipment use, support disaster relief efforts, and help safeguard the nation from chemical and biological threats.

Training includes hands-on and classroom learning with emphasis on emergency planning and NBC procedures. After Basic Training, you will attend Advanced Individual Training, gaining practical skills in decontamination, detection, and response to NBC events, with

Qualifications

Military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate.
Must be between the ages of 17 and 35.
Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
Must meet citizenship requirements (see NATIONALGUARD.com for details).

Responsibilities

Provide training advice and supervision regarding CBRN equipment and operations.
Assist in implementing NBC defense measures and disaster response planning.
