Job summary

DC Army National Guard seeks a Chemical Operations Specialist to defend against NBC threats and support disaster relief. You will train to handle NBC detection and decontamination equipment and assist in applying NBC defense measures, including disaster planning and coordination with civilian personnel during emergencies.

You will gain hands-on experience with CBRN equipment and procedures, learn to work under pressure, and develop technical skills for a civilian career in chemistry or related

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Interest in algebra, chemistry, physics, geometry, and trigonometry.
• Hazardous Materials Certification (awareness level) may be pursued.

Responsibilities

• Provide training advice and supervision regarding CBRN equipment and operations.
• Maintain disaster plans and coordinate with civilian personnel during emergencies.
• Operate and maintain NBC defense procedures and equipment.
