Job summary

Sabre Systems is seeking a Software Test Automation Engineer to join the team supporting U.S. Navy aircraft systems at Patuxent River Naval Air Station, MD. You will develop and automate tests, create data and scenarios, and collaborate with engineers to improve automation infrastructure.

The role requires a BS in a technical field, 3+ years of Java/Maven experience, and DoD clearance eligibility. Must be a US citizen; position located on-site in Southern Maryland.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a Computer Science, Computer Systems Information Management, Electrical Engineering or Mathematics
• 3+ years of software experience developing in Java and using Maven
• Experience with developing test scenarios for use in automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Robot Framework, Selenium)
• Experience creating test data, cases, and scenarios from written requirements
• Proficient with Red Hat with knowledge of Git version control software
• Familiarity with Atlassian suite including Jira and Confluence. BitBucket and Bamboo experience is a plus
• Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher or be eligible to obtain one and maintain a clearance
• Must be a US Citizen

Responsibilities

• Prepare, conduct, and automate API tests
• Improve and maintain testing environments for automation
• Create documentation and report bugs
• Communicate and cooperate with software engineers regarding design approaches and modifications
• Suggest and implement ideas to improve automation infrastructure
• Share quality knowledge with other team members
• Participate in full software development lifecycle activities including requirements, design, development, integration, and test
• Demonstrate good communication skills and be a team player
• Be self-motivated and able to learn in a fast-paced environment
