Job summary

Serco Inc. seeks a Navy Financial Associate to join the Team Submarine in Washington, DC.

You will support the Financial Management team, perform budgeting, forecasting, and cost analyses, and develop financial reports to support submarine maintenance and operations. The role requires an active DoD Secret clearance (or ability to obtain), US citizenship, and a bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field is desired.
• 8 years of experience.
• Knowledge of Navy Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution processes and policies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to travel at least 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support to Financial Management team.
• Perform financial analyst tasks including data gathering, budgeting, forecasting, and trend analysis.
• Create, maintain, and update financial databases and reports.
• Develop estimated at completion (EACs) and burn rate dashboards.
• Coordinate with Branch Head and field activities to establish funding priorities.
• Prepare financial models and statements and compare to budgets.
