Job summary

Standard Ship Repair seeks an experienced Estimator to develop detailed cost estimates for U.S. Navy ship repair and maintenance work, with emphasis on SWRMC/NAVSEA requirements, labor development, material takeoffs, and subcontractor coordination.

The role involves reviewing drawings and specifications, issuing RFQs, evaluating subcontractor quotes, and producing accurate pricing within proposal timelines. Office-based with shipyard exposure and travel as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year college degree.
• Experience estimating Navy ship repair and maintenance.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to develop labor and material takeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Review Navy work items, drawings, and specs to develop detailed cost estimates.
• Prepare pricing for basic and growth work, RCCs, CFRs, and contract changes.
• Assist with proposal preparation and supporting documentation.
• Maintain organized estimating files and support documentation.
