Job summary

Rivet Operations LLC is seeking a Safety Manager to join our team in the Washington DC area, supporting Navy contracts. The role develops, implements, and oversees safety programs to keep a compliant work environment and advises leadership on requirements.

You will conduct inspections, investigations, and training across operations, ensuring federal, state, local, and client safety standards are met. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, with the ability to coordinate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety or related field.
• At least 3 years of safety experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety-management principles.
• Experience with hazard analyses, incident investigations, and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DoD, client policies, and safety standards.
• Conduct inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
• Identify unsafe conditions, recommend corrective actions, and track closure.
• Review operational plans for hazards and safety requirements.
• Provide safety guidance to management, employees, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Investigate incidents and determine root causes to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain safety records, inspection reports, and training documentation.
• Monitor safety metrics and prepare management briefings.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness activities and drills.
