Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to lead the PORTS program supporting the US Surface Navy with PORTS-based training systems. The role involves coordinating with the Program Manager, customer, and project team to ensure schedules, budgets, and DoD data requirements are met.

The ideal candidate will have a DoD Secret clearance, a Bachelor's in a related field, and at least 5 years of defense program management experience, including P&L. Travel up to 10% is required.

Qualifications

• US Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience including profit and loss
• Familiar with software development projects
• Solid experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MSProject)
• Travel up to 10%

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team
• Review status of projects and budgets; review project work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects
