Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks a Patch Manager Field Systems Technologist for Navy ELMR at a U.S. military base. This 100% on-site role administers patching across Windows, RHEL, and related systems within a global enterprise, with travel up to 25% and DoD clearance requirements.

You will coordinate with Master Site FSTs and Engineering teams to apply security updates, troubleshoot patching issues, and ensure system sustainment across EURAFCENT networks, documenting progress for leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equiv, required for US SOFA role.
• Experience in IT systems administration and TCP/IP networks.
• Windows and RHEL administration experience.
• VMware/KVM virtualization and server hardware knowledge.
• Proficiency with remote access tools and AD administration.

Responsibilities

• Implement patch updates per ASTRO Security Update Service.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot patching issues in a high-stress environment.
• Maintain extensive verbal and written communication.
• Support master/dispatch RF sites and regional patching efforts.
• Travel up to 25% annually to support enterprise maintenance.
• Obtain and maintain DoD security clearance as required.
