Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Field Systems Technician Patch Manager for Navy ELMR. This 100% on-site role focuses on patching operations for a global enterprise and requires U.S. citizenship.

You will administer updates across Windows, RHEL, and SQL databases, submit weekly reports, and collaborate with Master Site FSTs and Engineering teams. Willingness to travel up to 25% and obtain DoD Secret clearance is essential. This role is based on a U.S. military base under SOFA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience per Italy SOFA? (translated: not applicable)
• Experience in IT systems administration and TCP/IP network administration.
• Ability to obtain CompTIA Security+ or IAT Level II within 6 months.
• Ability to obtain ETA CETa certification within 6 months.
• Proficient in Windows and RHEL, and Active Directory administration.
• Hands-on with VMware and KVM virtualization; server hardware experience.
• Familiar with PuTTY, WinSCP, and Remote Desktop tools.
• Proficient with Google Workspace and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Implement system and security patch updates.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot patching issues in a high-stress environment.
• Maintain extensive verbal and written communication.
• Assist Master Site FSTs and Engineering teams with maintenance across sites.
• Travel up to 25% annually for enterprise system maintenance.
