Job summary

HII Mission Technologies Newport News Direct Support is seeking a Combat Systems / Electronics Work Control Analyst (Engineering Technician 3) to join the E25 Work Control Team for CVN 75. The role provides technical support to engineers across disciplines and supports the upcoming RCOH in Norfolk/Newport News, VA.

Onsite with backshift coverage, requiring active SECRET clearance. Candidates should have DoD/USN nuclear experience, shipyard background, and familiarity with Navy WAFs, eSOMS, and

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or 2-year technical degree with 3 years DoD/USN experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent with 5 years related DoD/USN experience.
• Operational or maintenance experience on nuclear-powered aircraft carriers (combat systems or weapons control).
• Shipyard or military experience required.
• Experience with Navy Work Authorization Forms (WAFs) and tag-outs using eSOMS or E-Tag System.
• Ability to work in a shipboard environment during a major availability.
• Must lift/carry heavy equipment, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
• Active SECRET security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to engineers, including gathering, maintaining, formatting, and manipulating technical data.
• Produce engineering documentation and reports: drawings, flow charts, schematics.
• Perform calculations and preliminary data analyses using established formulas.
• Utilize PCs to support analytical work and documentation development.
• Conduct tests and record data to support evaluations or analyses.
